Baskets O' Fun

No matter how big or how small, Miley finds her way inside baskets!

Hasn't mastered getting out by herself yet though!  Momma has to come to the rescue.

Dough Boy

Daddy mentioned during dinner tonight that a special treat sounded good!  He decided that oatmeal cookies would be perfect.  So, Max and I tackled the baking task!  Magoo was at Nanie's house for the night, so it was an ideal bonding time for mother and son<3  We worked on Max's measuring, adding, egg-cracking, and mixer-running skills!  Of course, every time he stopped the mixer, he asked if it was time to eat the dough!  Daddy was also over our shoulder every 5 minutes, wondering if the dough was ready to be eaten!

Well, we couldn't leave out Milers:)  That would be rude!

Since We've Been Gone

WOW!  Has it really been almost a month since the last blog post?  I need to get my patoot back into gear!

Well, let's see.  The happenings in the Young house since 12/20/10:

1) Christmas!
It was a very relaxing one this year.  Max and Molli (and Mom and Dad!) received a Wii, of course with the Mario Bros. game!  We played it all day on Christmas, in our PJ's!  It was smiley Miley's first experience with Christmas and everything that goes with it!  She unwrapped pretty well, though taking her precious little time.  That's what present opening should be like though, right?!?!  Mike and I decided that Santa might have to put some things in the kids' stockings next year, just so we can spread out the present opening time and savor every moment of the wonderful morning!

2) She's WALKING
Yes, Milers is officially a big girl:)  Right after Christmas, she really got into walking around everywhere, not just a few steps here and there.  She's at the same pace as her big sissy was - 10 1/2 months and walking!  I never see her crawl anymore.  Where is our 'baby' going?!?!

3) Max is 5!!
Man, speaking of kids getting big!  Our buddy is a whoppin' 5 years old!!!!!  This makes Kindergarten that much closer:(  Momma is not ready to talk/think about this quite yet.  The weather was cruddy that day, but we still got the kids out to go bowling for the first time.  It was very fun!  Molls was really into it.  Max was only concerned about the score and who was winning....typical boy.  The rest of the day was spent just chillin'-playing Wii, opening presents, eating cake and ice cream-just the 5 of us<3  No one in our house was able to ring in the New Year that night:(  Party poopers.  Too much partying during the day I guess!

4) All bottles
Mommy is officially done nursing:(  Miley is strictly on formula now, but oh so close to milk!  I seem to be doing just fine with this transition.  A little sad, but we still get our cuddle time with bottles:)

5) Winter blahs
Last week, 4 of the 5 of us were sick....me and the 3 kiddos:(  The girlies had the 'runs' and Maxi and I had the 'spits.'  All this while Mike was recovering from a minor surgery.  After a couple days of feeling icky and a few days for us to get our appetites back, we are good to go (so is Daddy)!  No more sickness for the rest of the year!  Yeah right.  Not with this family!  Wishful thinking.

Some things we have to look forward to:
Daddy turns 28
Mommy turns 27
Miley is 1!!!!
Spring in the air?!?!?!

We hope everyone's new year has started out eventful, like ours!
